Dr. Jumana Yahya, Ph.D. is a specialist in self-control, motivation, and situated cognition. Jumana received her Ph.D. in cognitive science at Osnabrueck University in Germany and her M.A. in neurophilosophy at Georgia State University. Jumana’s interdisciplinary specialization is in embodied self-control, which focuses on making changes in a person’s physical state, immediate environment, and social interactions in order to create the relevant cognitive changes, such as mitigating symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, and impulse control disorders. As a pioneer in this field, Jumana uses cutting-edge research to add supplementary support to the cognitive behavioral therapy approach used by the We R H.O.P.E. coaches. Her love for kids and passion to provide mental health aid to those who need it most have brought her to We R H.O.P.E. after several years of doing 1:1 consultations for individuals with motivational issues.
